The Process of Making Art
SQUIRRELS
This one is a work in progress and I don’t know if it will ever be completely finished. Basically I was painting the Northern Lights, messed it up, covered the mess-up with a thick black border, and decided those 11×14 inches of canvas were destined to be a super-detailed interior-room of a treehouse with a big window.
After the 3 squirrel kids appeared, things really started getting out of hand.
At this point we’ve got books, fairy lights, a hobbit door, stairs, bookSHELVES, flower paintings, windows, a hanging banner, plants, and a Buddha painting (obviously squirrels and the Buddha are tight).
I have no idea how far this will go, but I just love it so much and every single part of it is deeply meaningful!
